The Herald Scholarly Open Access membership program, initiated to fulfill the vision of making Healthcare & Scientific Information Open Access, empowers scholastic and research institutions, societies, groups, subsidizing associations and corporations to actively support Open Access in scholarly publishing.

Herald offers two separate sorts of Open Access Institutional Memberships to organizations that might want to enable their authors to publish their research in an Open Access journal without needing to specifically bring about any Article Processing Charges.

Annual Membership

Annual Membership is dependent upon an even rate payment that covers all accepted articles that have one or more authors from the member institute. The expense of the membership hinges on the research yield level of the institute and its historical publishing pattern in Herald journals. Herald will give a citation upon solicitation to any intrigued institute.

By having this Annual Membership, organizations can empower their authors to publish in Herald Scholarly Open Access journals without needing to manage and pay the Article Processing Charges from their individual research budget. The level rate framework empowers the member institute to know their expense for the following 12 months, paying little mind to the amount of articles that may be submitted or accepted for publication. Herald will provide a new quotation for membership renewal about three months before the lapse of the current membership. Annual Membership periods may be synchronized with the calendar or monetary year at the member institute by allocating its cost for a fraction of a year, if so coveted by the member institute.

Prepaid Membership

Prepaid Membership is dependent upon a payment from the organization that will be used to cover the Article Processing Charges of their researchers. Member institutes ought to deposit an initial amount of at least $5,000 with a specific end goal to start their membership and they will appropriate an automatic discount of 10% for any publication charges that are paid from their record. Members of this program can add additional funds to their record sometime or another in time. Member organizations will have admittance to live reports with itemized data about each one article that has been paid by means of their enrollment.

Moreover, Herald will create institutional web pages for all major universities and research centers that list the articles from each institute that will be published in Herald’s journals. These institutional web pages might be utilized both as a showcase of an institute’s research published with Herald, and as a report for librarians and university administrators to evaluate the level of contribution of their personnel in Herald journals.
