Veterinary Pathology

Veterinary Pathology is a critical discipline within veterinary medicine that focuses on the study of diseases in animals through the examination of organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and entire bodies (necropsy). Recent advances in molecular pathology, immunohistochemistry, and diagnostic imaging have significantly enhanced the ability to detect, classify, and understand a wide range of animal diseases, both infectious and non-infectious. Veterinary pathologists play a pivotal role in disease surveillance, research, and the development of new treatment protocols and vaccines, contributing to both animal and public health. The integration of genomic and proteomic technologies is further transforming the field, allowing for more precise disease characterization and biomarker discovery. This progress supports improved disease control in livestock, companion animals, and wildlife, with direct implications for food safety and zoonotic disease prevention.

The Journal of Animal Research and Veterinary Science continues to publish high-quality research in this domain, encouraging submissions that highlight novel diagnostic techniques, case studies, and experimental pathology findings. The journal aims to foster collaboration between academic, clinical, and research institutions globally, ensuring that veterinary pathology continues to evolve as a dynamic and essential component of veterinary science and One Health initiatives.
