Forensic Toxicology

Forensic Toxicology and Drugs involves detecting and interpreting the presence of drugs, alcohol, poisons, and other toxic substances in biological samples to aid criminal investigations, legal cases, and autopsies. Forensic toxicology involves the analysis of biological samples for the presence of illicit drugs, prescription medications, alcohol, and toxic substances to determine their effects on behavior, cause of death, and criminal liability.

The journal welcomes research-exploring topics such as drug overdose investigations, postmortem toxicology, alcohol impairment testing, drug testing in forensic settings, and new psychoactive substances (NPS). Studies on the admissibility of toxicological evidence in court, the integration of forensic toxicology with other forensic disciplines, and advancements in toxicological testing methodologies are particularly encouraged.
